Welcome to Physical Education Class!

Fitness and physical activity have played a large role in my life. At an early age, I was introduced to the active and healthy lifestyle which provided me many great opportunities. I look forward to helping your children develop the necessary skills to lead a healthy 21st century life!

Villa Madonna Academy Health and P.E. Syllabus

Health and Physical Education is a yearlong course for Kindergarten through 6th Grade that meets one day a week.  Health lessons are taught to encourage students to develop and practice healthy lifestyles that include proper nutrition, emotional and physical well being, and a positive self-image. Physical Education lessons will explore movement and fitness concepts, coordination, cooperation/teamwork, and sportsmanship.  All lessons will be designed to develop the necessary skills to lead a healthy 21st century lifestyle.

Rules

1.  Respect yourself
2.  Respect others
3.  Respect your surroundings
4. Be kind

Policies
•       If a Primary student forgets gym uniform or gym shoes (or a combination of) 3 times in a trimester they will sit out a class. Students in grades 4-6 will have two points deducted from that day’s participation grade each time.
•       If a student is corrected 2 times or presents a major discipline issue during a single class period they will be sent to the penalty box.  After the designated amount of time the teacher will speak with them and they may re-enter the activity.
•       Please notify me of any physical ailments that may prevent your child from participating in class and when they are cleared to resume classes (students missing P.E. will be provided an alternate assignment & asked to sit out of recess).
