Service Learning

Villa Madonna teachers work with each grade on a year long service project. In addition, all students are required to perform services of their choice.

 

• Service projects are those actions that make a difference in people's lives.  They range from simple projects such as running an errand for a friend, visiting a sick relative in nursing home or hospital, to complex projects such as working for a state law to create stronger penalties against graffiti. 
• Service projects are not those activities which you are already expected to do such as cleaning a room at home. 
• The number of service hours per school year by grade level are: K-one hour; 1-two hours; 2-four hours; 3-six hours; 4-eight hours; 5-ten hours;  6-twelve hours.

Students submit their service hours each May either manually, on the Service Hour Form, or online via the Online Service Hour Form. (Buttons below)
